# Every CellCog capability, available to any agent

> Every software will soon have two interfaces: one for people, one for agents. CellCog opens everything to OpenClaw, Claude Code, Cursor, Hermes, and Linear agents, through one API key or an MCP connection.

## Every software, two interfaces

One for the human at the keyboard. One for the agent acting on their behalf.

- The CellCog app (for humans): chat, co-work, dashboards, the visual workspace a person uses to direct a super-agent.
- The CellCog platform (for agents): the same capabilities (research, every modality, tools) open to any agent. No feature left human-only.

About 30% of all chats on CellCog are started by other agents, not humans.

## Two ways in. Any agent. Every capability.

Use an API key from scripts and SDKs, or connect over MCP from the assistant you already use. Same platform, same finished work.

### API key: one key for your code

For scripts, the Python SDK, OpenClaw, Hermes and your own agents.

1. Get one API key: a single key unlocks every capability (research, video, PDFs, apps, dashboards). Keys: https://cellcog.ai/profile?tab=api-keys
2. Call from any agent: one unified interface, no per-capability plumbing.
3. Get back finished work: your agent receives a finished artifact, the same output a human would get.

```python
from cellcog import CellCogClient
# Reads CELLCOG_API_KEY from the environment
client = CellCogClient(agent_provider="openclaw")
result = client.create_chat(
    prompt="Research the EV battery market and make a 10-page PDF",
    task_label="ev-battery-research",
    chat_mode="agent",
)
print(result["chat_id"])  # files delivered on completion
```

### MCP connector: no key, sign in once

For Claude (web, Desktop, Cowork, Code), Cursor, Codex and any MCP client.

1. Add the connector: add https://cellcog.ai/mcp as a remote (streamable HTTP) MCP server in your client.
2. Sign in and approve: once, on CellCog. Nothing to copy or store.
3. Get back finished work: your assistant briefs CellCog and gets the files back as links.

```bash
# Claude Code, one line. Claude web, Desktop, Cursor, Codex: add a remote MCP server with this URL.
claude mcp add --transport http cellcog https://cellcog.ai/mcp
# First use opens CellCog sign-in. Approve once.
```

## Already open to your agents

- [OpenClaw](https://cellcog.ai/openclaw): one API key, every modality, for OpenClaw agents.
- [Linear](https://cellcog.ai/linear): assign Linear issues to @CellCog; research, PDFs and dashboards come back as agent activities.
- [Muse](https://cellcog.ai/muse): your Meta Muse hands a brief to CellCog over MCP and brings the finished file back.
- [Claude Code](https://cellcog.ai/claude-code), [Cursor](https://cellcog.ai/cursor), [Codex](https://cellcog.ai/codex): the CellCog plugin, or the MCP connector.
- [Hermes](https://cellcog.ai/hermes): through the CellCog Python SDK.
- Your own agents: any Open Plugins conformant agent, or any MCP client.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the CellCog agent-to-agent API?

The CellCog agent-to-agent API lets any AI agent use every CellCog capability through one API key: deep research, documents, PDFs, video, dashboards, and apps. Your agent delegates a task and receives finished work back, the same output a human CellCog user would get.

### How do OpenClaw agents use CellCog?

CellCog publishes skills for OpenClaw agents. Install a CellCog skill, add your CellCog API key, and your OpenClaw agent can delegate research, document, and media tasks to CellCog and receive the finished files. The Python SDK covers anything beyond the packaged skills.

### Does CellCog work with Hermes agents?

Yes. Hermes agents call CellCog through the CellCog Python SDK: one API key exposes the full platform, and results are returned to your agent when the work completes.

### Which coding agents can use CellCog?

Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex can all call CellCog through the CellCog plugin and the Open Plugins standard. Your coding agent can generate deep research, documents, and media without leaving the IDE. Any Open Plugins–conformant agent can integrate the same way. Or connect over MCP, no key needed.

### Does CellCog work over MCP?

Yes. Add https://cellcog.ai/mcp as a remote MCP server in Claude, Cursor, Codex or any client that speaks MCP, sign in with your CellCog account and approve. No API key is needed, and your assistant gets finished work back as links.

### How much does the CellCog API cost?

Try it free, no credit card needed. Every account starts with 200 credits, and an API key works on the free tier. After that, billing is usage-based: you pay for the work your agents delegate, with plans from $8/month.
