## Key points

- On November 6, 2026, Juozas Kaziukenas posted a screenshot of a Claim your business in ChatGPT banner; OpenAI has not announced the feature.
- As described, the tool counts impressions (how often a business appears in ChatGPT answers) and clicks to its website, daily, as a chart.
- It reportedly sits inside a Business Hub open only to verified businesses, for example by connecting a Shopify store.
- The banner also promises up-to-date product info and a business agent that answers customer questions with context the business controls.
- Per Kaziukenas, it does not show prompts, user data or competitor rankings, so it answers whether visibility moved, not why.
- No launch date, price, countries or OpenAI confirmation exist yet; one work-in-progress screenshot is not a launch.

## At a glance

- **Is OpenAI launching ChatGPT analytics for businesses?** Not officially. A November 6, 2026 screenshot posted by Juozas Kaziukenas shows a Claim your business in ChatGPT banner. OpenAI has not announced the feature.
- **What would it measure?** As described, daily impressions (how often a business appears in ChatGPT answers) and clicks on links to its website, shown as a chart.
- **What would it not show?** Per Kaziukenas, no prompts, no user data and no competitor rankings.

OpenAI appears to be building a Search Console for ChatGPT: a dashboard that shows a business how often it is mentioned in ChatGPT answers and how many people click through to its website. The feature surfaced on November 6, 2026, when Juozas Kaziukėnas, founder of Marketplace Pulse, posted a screenshot of a banner inviting businesses to "Claim your business in ChatGPT." OpenAI has not announced it, and there is no OpenAI help page for it yet.

If it ships as described, it would be the first first-party data on how a business shows up inside ChatGPT, the number every agency selling AI search optimization has been estimating from the outside.

## What the screenshot shows

[Search Engine Roundtable](https://www.seroundtable.com/chatgpt-tools-for-business-42476.html) reproduced the banner's three promises:

- **See how your business shows up.** "Track how often your business is mentioned in ChatGPT conversations."
- **Show customers what you offer.** "Add your latest products and keep your business info up to date."
- **Help customers make decisions.** "Let your business agent answer their questions with context you control."

Kaziukėnas, on [X](https://x.com/juokaz/status/2118670844159197284) and LinkedIn, described the analytics part: it "measures both impressions and clicks: number of times a business appeared in ChatGPT responses and number of clicks on links to their website. It tracks those events daily and shows them as a chart."

He says the feature has been in progress since August, sits inside a larger Business Hub, and is open only to businesses that verify ownership, for example by connecting a Shopify store.

*As described: appearances and clicks, counted daily; not the prompts behind them.*

## Confirmed and not confirmed

*Table: What is known about ChatGPT's business analytics tool, as of November 6, 2026*

| Claim | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|
| A "Claim your business in ChatGPT" banner exists | Shown in one screenshot | Kaziukėnas, via Search Engine Roundtable |
| It counts impressions (appearances in answers) and clicks | Described from the screenshot | Kaziukėnas |
| Daily data shown as a chart | Described from the screenshot | Kaziukėnas |
| Business must verify ownership, e.g. via Shopify | Described by Kaziukėnas | Kaziukėnas |
| A business agent answers customer questions | Banner text | Search Engine Roundtable |
| Shows prompts, user data or competitor rankings | No, per Kaziukėnas | Kaziukėnas |
| Separate from ChatGPT ads | Likely, per the reporting | Search Engine Roundtable |
| Launch date, price, countries | Not stated anywhere | None |
| OpenAI confirmation | None found | No OpenAI page or statement |

One thing to keep apart: OpenAI already publishes [workspace analytics](https://help.openai.com/en/articles/10875114-workspace-analytics-for-chatgpt-enterprise-and-edu) for ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu, which count a company's own ChatGPT usage. That is a different product from a dashboard counting how often outside businesses appear in answers.

## What it would and would not tell you

Kaziukėnas is clear about the limit: no prompt data, no user data, no competitor benchmark. "So it won't help understanding why mentions/clicks are increasing or decreasing, but combined with external tools that track prompts it will show accurate first-party data if GEO/AEO strategies are working."

That split matters for anyone working on visibility in AI answers:

- **First-party counts answer "is it working?"** A business could finally see whether a content change moved its ChatGPT impressions and clicks.
- **Prompt tracking still answers "why?"** Which questions trigger a mention, and which competitors appear instead, would still need outside tools that run real prompts.
- **Verification shapes who benefits.** If ownership runs through store connections like Shopify, retail sellers get it first; service businesses and software companies may wait.

The SEO community read it the same way. Lily Ray asked on X: "Is this the first iteration of a ChatGPT Search Console?"

## Where CellCog fits

Our conflict, declared: we build CellCog, and getting cited in AI answers is part of our own growth work. We measure it the outside way today, with a locked set of buyer questions run five times each across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, counting how often we are named and cited. A first-party ChatGPT count would let us check those estimates against OpenAI's own numbers. A CellCog AI SEO specialist can run that kind of probe for a business and keep the readings on a dashboard.

## What is not established yet

- **That it ships.** One screenshot of a work-in-progress banner is not a launch.
- **Who gets access.** Verification by Shopify is one example; other routes are not described.
- **What counts as an impression.** Whether a brief mention, a product card and a cited link all count the same is unknown.

## Where to watch

- An OpenAI announcement or help article for the Business Hub.
- Whether the tool adds query data later, as Google's Search Console did.
- How the "business agent" works: who writes its answers, and how it is labelled to users.

## FAQ

**Who found the ChatGPT business analytics tool?**

Juozas Kaziukenas, founder of Marketplace Pulse, who posted a screenshot on LinkedIn and X on November 6, 2026. Search Engine Roundtable and Search Engine Land reported it the same day.

**Who can use it?**

Kaziukenas says it is only available to businesses that verify ownership, for example by connecting a Shopify store. OpenAI has not published eligibility.

**Is it part of ChatGPT ads?**

The reporting says it appears separate from ChatGPT ads and aimed at organic answers.

**Is this the same as ChatGPT workspace analytics?**

No. Workspace analytics, for Enterprise and Edu, counts a company's own ChatGPT usage. This reported tool counts how often a business appears in other people's ChatGPT answers.

**How can a business track AI answers today?**

By running its buyer questions across ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini repeatedly and logging where it is named and cited, which is how outside AEO tools and our own probe work.
