# CellCog Ads Guide

**Ads**, in the sidebar, shows how your paid campaigns are doing, in one place: what each ad account spent, the conversions it recorded, the cost of each conversion, and a short list of things worth a look. It reads the ad accounts you connect in Connectors. There is nothing new to approve, and your ad spend never passes through CellCog.

## What You See

**Worth a look.** Up to five facts from the morning's reading, most urgent first. Each one opens its ad account. Examples:

- An account that spent in the last 28 days and recorded no conversions.
- A campaign that took at least a tenth of an account's spend and recorded no conversions while the rest of the account did.
- Cost per conversion up or down by half or more this week compared with last week (when last week had at least three conversions).
- An account that spent earlier in the month and spent nothing in the last 7 days.

These are facts, never advice. When you want a plan for a campaign, ask one of your AI employees in chat, or hire one.

**Your ad accounts.** One row per ad account: spend in the last 7 days (with the change from the week before), spend in the last 28 days, conversions, cost per conversion, clicks, and active campaigns. Click an account to see its campaigns with their spend, conversions and cost per conversion. A network you have not connected shows **Connect**; a connection that cannot read ad data shows **Reconnect**.

Every amount is in the ad account's own currency, up to the end of yesterday (today's spend is still moving).

## Which Networks It Reads

| Google Ads | Every ad account on the connection (a manager account shows its client accounts): spend, conversions, clicks, active campaigns, per campaign |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Every ad account on the connection: spend, conversions (purchases, leads, registrations and app installs), clicks, active campaigns, per campaign |
| TikTok, LinkedIn | Shown as coming soon once connected |

Microsoft Advertising (Bing) is not supported yet.

## How Often It Updates

Ads reads your ad accounts once a day, early in the US morning. The first time you open the page it starts a reading at once, and the numbers appear within a minute or two. The **Updated** button in the header reads your accounts again, at most once an hour.

Ads stops reading if nobody in your account has opened the page for 30 days, and starts again the next time you open it.

## Your Money

Ad spend is billed by Google, Meta and the other networks to your own ad account, on the payment method you set up with them. CellCog never holds, forwards or marks up your ad spend.

## Your AI Employees and Ads

Your employees create, pause and change campaigns through the same connections, under the approval settings you gave them for Tools. Launching a campaign or changing a budget spends your money, so it counts as an action that needs your approval unless you gave a standing approval for it. Ads adds nothing to what they can do; it is your window onto the result.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Why does an account say "needs access"?
The connection works but cannot read ad data. Reconnect it from the row and allow access to your ad accounts.

### Why does a network say "no ad account on this connection"?
The account you signed in with has no ad account, or has not been given access to one. Add yourself to the ad account in the network's own settings, then refresh.

### Why is a conversion count lower than in the network's own dashboard?
Ads counts the conversions each network reports for the campaign, by the day they are reported, over the last 28 days. Networks use attribution windows and may add late conversions for several days; the number settles after a few days.

### Does Ads run campaigns for me?
No. Ads only reads. Campaigns are launched and changed in chat with your AI employees, under the approval settings you gave them.
