# Cloud Browsers Guide Give each AI employee its own persistent Chrome on CellCog's servers, log it into the sites it needs once, and let it browse autonomously with separate identities and logins per employee. --- ## What is a Cloud Browser? A cloud browser is a real Chrome that runs on CellCog's servers and belongs to an AI employee. It keeps its own cookies, tabs, and logins between shifts and restarts, so you log an employee into a site once and it stays logged in from then on. Employees browse with it at any hour, whether or not your computer is on. By default every employee gets its own browser the first time it browses: separate identities and logins per employee. Two employees can hold different accounts on the same site. See the [Browse my Chrome Guide](./CellCog_Browse_my_Chrome_Guide.md) for the other side. --- ## The Cloud Browsers Page Open **Cloud Browsers** from the sidebar (under Apps) or at `cellcog.ai/cloud-browsers`. Each browser is a card showing its name, the sites it is signed into, the employees using it, and a "live" dot when a session is open right now. A rail beside the cards lists employees that do not have a browser yet. ### Creating and naming - A browser appears automatically the first time an employee browses - To create one ahead of time, use the empty card and type a name ("Name this browser") - Click a browser's name to rename it ### Moving employees between browsers Drag an employee's avatar from one card to another to move it. An employee sits in exactly one browser at a time, so dropping it on a card moves it there. Drag an avatar off a card onto the rail to give that employee its own fresh browser on next use. Every avatar also has a **Move to** menu with the same effect. Two avatars on one card means those employees share that browser and its logins. Sharing is always your explicit choice. ### Opening a browser Click a card to open the browser full screen. This is the real Chrome: click and type anywhere, including its tabs and address bar. Clicking one of the signed-in sites on a card opens the browser directly on that site, logged in. Use **Close view** to return to the board. While an employee is working, the view says so and you both see the same Chrome. One live session runs per browser at a time; employees sharing a browser take turns rather than browsing simultaneously. ### Logging an employee into a site 1. Click the key icon (**Log in to a site**) on the browser's card, or ask the employee for a login link 2. Enter the site's login URL and open it 3. Type the credentials directly into the employee's Chrome, exactly as you would in your own 4. Click **Done** to save the session Credentials you type go from your keyboard into the employee's Chrome and on to the site. They never pass through chat, the employee's context, or CellCog's records. Pasting text into the live view works in one direction (from your clipboard into the browser). When an employee hits a login wall on a site it expected to be logged into, it sends you a link that opens the live view on its browser, already on that site. Log in, click Done, and the employee continues on its next attempt. ### Deleting a browser The trash icon on a card deletes the browser. Its stored sessions are erased, and any employees using it get a fresh browser the next time they browse. The confirmation names exactly what is lost. ### From the Employee Computer Each employee's computer has a **Browser** app showing that employee's own browser live, with a link to manage all browsers on the Cloud Browsers page. --- ## What Employees Do With It Inside a cloud browser an employee can navigate, read pages, fill forms, log in with saved sessions, take screenshots, and download files. Screenshots and downloads land in the employee's own workspace. Restarts keep logins but not open tabs; the employee simply re-navigates. Approvals work the same way as everywhere else on CellCog. The employee classifies every browser action as safe, moderate, or dangerous; writes on logged-in sites (sending, posting, paying, deleting) are dangerous and run only under a standing approval you have granted, or with your live approval. Nothing is stored on your machine. - Only you, the account owner, can open a browser's live view or change its assignments - Your input in the live view is relayed to the employee's Chrome and is never logged - Deleting a browser erases its stored sessions Note that all of your account's cloud browsers run in the same browser service; they are separate Chrome identities and logins, not a hardened barrier between employees. Keep employees that should never see each other's accounts on separate browsers, and share a browser only when you want the logins shared. --- ## Limits - **Server egress**: cloud browsers reach the web from CellCog's servers, so some sites show CAPTCHAs or challenges more often than a home connection would. When that happens, the employee asks you to clear it through the live view. - **Site rules**: some sites block automation. Employees follow CellCog's fair-play rules and do not evade rate limits, bans, or bot protections. - **One session at a time per browser**: shared browsers are used sequentially - **Employees only**: cloud browsers are for AI employees. Regular chats browse through Browse my Chrome. --- ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Do I need the desktop app or the Chrome extension? No. Cloud browsers run entirely on CellCog's servers. The desktop app and extension are only for Browse my Chrome. ### Does an employee stay logged in between shifts? Yes. Logins persist across shifts, service restarts, and idle periods. If a site expires the session, the employee sends you a login link. ### Can two employees share one login? Yes, by putting them on the same browser. Drag one employee's avatar onto the other's card. They share cookies and logins and browse one at a time. ### Can two employees be logged into different accounts on the same site? Yes. Each browser is a separate Chrome identity, so employees on separate browsers hold separate accounts. ### Can I watch what the employee is doing? Yes. Open the browser from the Cloud Browsers page. The view shows the real Chrome live, and you can click and type in it at any time. ### Can I use a cloud browser in a regular chat? Not today. Cloud browsers are assigned to AI employees; regular chats use Browse my Chrome. ### What happens to logins when I delete a browser? They are erased.
