CellCog Organization Guide

Organizations in CellCog provide company-wide settings, shared documents, and team management for corporate users.

What Is an Organization?

Organizations are automatically created based on your email domain. If you sign up with a corporate email (e.g., yourname@company.com), you're automatically part of the "company.com" organization.

Organizations provide:

  • Shared Documents: Company-wide knowledge base
  • Member Management: See and manage team members
  • Organization Billing: Shared subscription for teams
  • Settings: Company-wide configuration

Accessing Your Organization

Click Organization in the bottom of the sidebar (under your profile).

Note: Organizations are only available for corporate email domains. Personal email users (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) don't have organizations.

Billing Tab

Manage organization-wide subscription and team credits.

Organization Billing has three independent dimensions:

  1. Plan (Tier, Interval, Seats): Choose your subscription tier, billing interval (monthly/yearly), and number of seats. This determines the team's credit pool size.

  2. Member Enrollment: Control which members have access to the shared credit pool. Toggle enrollment for individual members in the Members tab.

  3. Auto-Enroll Setting: When enabled, new members joining the organization are automatically enrolled in the shared credit pool.

Important — Seats and Enrollment are Decoupled:

Seats are a billing number that determines your team's credit pool. Enrollment controls who can access those credits. These are completely independent:

  • You can have 10 enrolled members sharing 1 seat's worth of credits — all members share the pool equally
  • You can have 5 seats with only 3 enrolled members — the 3 members share a larger credit pool
  • Adding or removing seats only changes the credit pool size
  • Enrolling or unenrolling members only changes who can access the pool

How Enrollment Works:

  • When a member is enrolled, they gain access to the team's shared credit pool
  • If the member has a personal subscription, it will be automatically canceled at the end of its billing period
  • When a member is unenrolled, they lose access to team credits but the purchased seat remains

See Billing Guide for pricing details.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I create an organization?

Organizations are automatically created when the first user signs up with a corporate email domain.

Can I change my organization?

Your organization is tied to your email domain. To change organizations, you'd need a different email address.

How do I become an admin?

The first user from a domain becomes admin. Existing admins can promote other members.

Are organization documents private?

Yes. Only members of your organization can access organization documents.

Can I leave an organization?

You can't leave an organization while using that email. Contact support for account changes.

What happens when someone leaves the company?

Admins can remove members from the organization to revoke access.

Do organization documents count toward storage?

Organization documents have separate storage from personal Drive.

How does org billing relate to personal billing?

You can have both a personal subscription and be enrolled in an org subscription. Team credits are consumed before personal credits. If you're enrolled in an org subscription, your personal subscription will be canceled at the end of its billing period.

Can I control how many members use the team credits?

Yes. Enrollment is independent from seat count. Only enrolled members can access the team credit pool. You can enroll or unenroll members at any time.
