X is preparing one subscription that covers X, Grok, Cursor and Grok Bot, and a price card for it leaked on October 2, 2026. The plan is called Xpass; the card lists four tiers at $8, $30, $100 and $200 a month and a 50% launch discount dated October 9. None of it is announced: x.ai’s news page carries no Xpass post, neither does Cursor’s pricing page, and Elon Musk has not posted about it. This page tracks what the leak says, which parts are corroborated, and what each tier would cost against the plans you can buy today.

- A leaked price card posted October 2, 2026 puts X, Grok, Cursor and Grok Bot into one subscription called Xpass, with four tiers: Premium $8, Plus $30, Super $100 and Ultra $200 a month in the US on the web.
- Nothing is announced. x.ai, X and Cursor have published no Xpass page and Elon Musk has not posted about it, though the four plan names do appear in the X app’s own strings.
- Bloomberg’s September 30 report, from a document it saw, described four tiers from free to a $100 Ultra, which conflicts with the card’s $8 floor and $200 Ultra.
- Against today’s plans, Plus at $30 undercuts X Premium+ at $40 and Ultra at $200 undercuts SuperGrok Heavy at about $300; Premium matches X Premium at $8 and Super matches SuperGrok Plus at $100.
- The card lists a 50% first-month promo dated October 9, 2026, App Store and Google Play prices up to 30% above web, and usage multipliers of 4x, 15x and 50x that it marks uncertain.
- Grok Bot starts at the Plus tier, so Cursor Pro at $20 a month stays the cheapest way into Grok Bot today.
§ 01The leaked tiers
The fullest version came from @GrokInsider at 17:15 UTC on October 2, as an image of a price card with a short summary.
| Tier | Monthly | First month | Annual | Built on, per the card | AI extras the card lists |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $8 | $4 | $80 | Grok Lite + X Premium | Shared usage pool; Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build; Grok API; Cursor |
| Plus | $30 | $15 | $300 | SuperGrok + X Premium+ | Grok Bot; latest Grok models; AI images and videos; Cursor cloud agents and automations; Bugbot and Origin; 4x Premium usage (marked uncertain) |
| Super | $100 | $50 | $1,000 | SuperGrok Plus + X Premium+ | 1080p videos; priority access at peak times; faster responses; 15x Premium usage (uncertain) |
| Ultra | $200 | $100 | $2,000 | SuperGrok Heavy + X Premium+ | Most powerful chat models; earliest access; fastest responses; 50x Premium usage (uncertain) |
The card’s footer names its source: “Prices in USD for the US, from Grok’s price catalog, queried Oct 2, 2026.” It carries a promo code, xpass-launch-50off-1mo, with a catalog date of October 9, 2026 at 00:00 UTC. Annual web prices are exactly ten times the monthly price, so a year costs ten months. The poster added a caveat in the same post, “4x / 15x / 50x usage is still unconfirmed”, and a second post in the thread explained a retraction: “We took down our first Xpass post after being told it was wrong.” Per that thread, the tiers and prices survived “several confirmations”; the multipliers did not.
§ 02Where you buy it changes the price
The card prices each tier three ways, and the app stores cost more at three of the four tiers.
| Tier | Web | App Store | Google Play | Store markup |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $8 | $10 | $10 | 25% |
| Plus | $30 | $30 | $30 | None |
| Super | $100 | $130 | $130 | 30% |
| Ultra | $200 | $260 | $260 | 30% |
Plus is the one tier priced the same everywhere, and the card marks it as the most popular plan. Super and Ultra show no annual option on Google Play. If the card holds, buying on the web saves $60 a month at Ultra.
§ 03Against what you can buy today
Today the same pieces are sold separately. X’s own price table lists X Premium at $8 a month and X Premium+ at $40 in the US on the web, and X’s help page says Premium+ already includes “SuperGrok access, Grok Bot”. Since August 26, Grok Bot has also been included with every SuperGrok plan and every paid Cursor plan, from Cursor Pro at $20.
| Xpass tier | Leaked price | Closest plan today | Today’s price | Difference | What Xpass adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $8 | X Premium | $8 | $0 | Grok Lite, the Grok API and Cursor, per the card |
| Plus | $30 | X Premium+ (includes SuperGrok access and Grok Bot) | $40 | $10 less (25%) | Cursor cloud agents, Bugbot and Origin |
| Super | $100 | SuperGrok Plus | $100 | $0 | X Premium+ |
| Ultra | $200 | SuperGrok Heavy | About $300 | About $100 less (33%) | X Premium+ and Cursor |
The cuts sit at the two ends people pay most attention to. Plus would give the Premium+ bundle plus Cursor’s agents for $10 less. Ultra would put SuperGrok Heavy, X Premium+ and Cursor under one $200 bill, against about $300 for Heavy alone today, and Heavy’s current price is the one our Grok Bot pricing breakdown tracks. The annual side moves too: Xpass Premium at $80 a year would undercut X Premium’s $84.
One thing does not change. Plus is the first tier with Grok Bot, so if Grok Bot is the only thing you want, Cursor Pro at $20 a month stays the cheapest route, as it has been since August 26.
§ 04Who reported what, dated
The leak arrived in pieces over five days. Times below come from each post’s ID, not from the search results that relayed them.
| When (UTC) | Who | What they said | Status now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sep 28, 17:20 | @blankspeaker | X and SpaceXAI plan to reboot X Premium into one X Subscription with Cursor, Grok and X benefits | Consistent with everything after |
| Sep 30, 16:54 | Bloomberg, Edward Ludlow | A document shows a unified Grok and X plan with four tiers, from free to a $100 Ultra that includes Grok Bot | Price contradicted by the later card |
| Sep 30, 19:23 | @Iorel_X | The latest X app update carries the plan names Plus, Premium, Super and Ultra | Matches the card’s tier names |
| Oct 1, 13:36 | @nima_owji | Internally called XPASS; Premium, Plus with Grok Bot, Super and Ultra at 4x, 15x and 50x usage | Names match; multipliers unconfirmed |
| Oct 1, 15:08 | @oncescuradu | Premium at $8, Ultra at $100 | Revised to $200 the next day |
| Oct 2, 17:15 | @GrokInsider | The full card: $8, $30, $100, $200, and a 50% promo dated October 9 | The fullest version, still unofficial |

Bloomberg’s account is the only one from a news organization, and it is the one that disagrees. Its report says the options “range from a free offering with stricter usage limits for its Grok chatbot to a $100 monthly” Ultra tier. The card has no free tier and an Ultra at twice that. Either the document Bloomberg saw was an earlier draft, or one of the two is wrong; nothing public settles it yet. The app strings @Iorel_X posted are the hardest evidence of all: four keys, complat_plan_name_plus, _premium, _super and _ultra, added to the X app. They prove the plan names exist in shipping code. They carry no prices and no Xpass brand.
§ 05What is confirmed and what is not
| Claim | Grade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A unified X, Grok and Cursor subscription is in the works | Corroborated | Bloomberg saw a document; the plan names are in the X app’s strings |
| The four tier names: Premium, Plus, Super, Ultra | Corroborated | App strings posted by @Iorel_X match the card |
| The name Xpass | Unconfirmed | Leaker posts only; the strings shown carry plan names, not the brand |
| $8, $30, $100 and $200 a month | Unconfirmed, contested | One card; Bloomberg’s document had a free tier and a $100 Ultra |
| Usage at 4x, 15x and 50x Premium | Unconfirmed | The card itself marks all three uncertain |
| 50% off the first month from October 9 | Unconfirmed | A catalog date on the card, not an announced launch |
| Cursor in every tier | Unconfirmed | The card lists it; which Cursor plan is not stated |
| An official announcement | None | No post from x.ai, X, Cursor or Elon Musk as of this update |
§ 06What nobody has said yet
- How current subscribers move over. The card’s poster wrote that “Nothing we’ve seen covers how existing subs move over, including the free Cursor Ultra that came with Heavy” and advised waiting before changing or cancelling anything.
- Whether SuperGrok and X Premium+ stay on sale. The same poster reads Xpass as an alternative to the existing plans, not a replacement. No document says either way.
- Which Cursor plan each tier includes. The card says Cursor; Cursor’s own plans run from Pro at $20 to Ultra at $200.
- Whether Grok Bot keeps its own meter. Today xAI says “Grok Bot comes with its own usage, separate from your Grok and Cursor plans.” The card’s Premium tier promises a “shared usage pool, all products” instead.
- Prices outside the US. The card covers US dollars only.
§ 07What it means if you are buying an agent now
Nothing on the card can be bought today, and the only person who has seen the full catalog is advising subscribers to wait, which is sound. If the prices hold, Xpass mostly rewards people who already pay for two of X’s products: a heavy Grok user who also wants X Premium+ pays $340 a month for SuperGrok Heavy plus Premium+ today, so Ultra would save at least $140 before Cursor is counted. If Grok Bot is the point, the entry price does not move; Cursor Pro at $20 already includes it, and our Grok Bot verdict covers what that buys. Bundles like this price an ecosystem: you pay for four products whether your agent needs them or not. AI employee platforms price the work instead, which is the comparison in Grok Bot vs AI employees.
§ 08What would confirm it
- An x.ai news post or an X help page naming Xpass or listing these prices.
- A live purchase screen in the X or Grok app showing the four tiers.
- Cursor’s pricing page listing an X bundle or mapping its plans to the tiers.
- A post from Elon Musk naming the plan or the prices.
- October 9 arriving with the 50% promo live, or passing without it.
§ 09The record
As of October 3, 2026: page opened. We read every X post above in full on X on October 3 between 01:14 and 01:18 UTC and computed each time from the post’s ID; the price card was transcribed from the image @GrokInsider posted. Bloomberg’s report was read on bloomberg.com, dated September 30, 2026 at 12:54 PM EDT. X’s US price table was read on X’s help center the same hour. x.ai/news/xpass returned 404 and neither x.ai’s news page nor Cursor’s pricing page mentioned Xpass at that time.
Q1Is Xpass real?
The unified plan is corroborated: Bloomberg reported a document describing it on September 30, 2026, and the four plan names appear in the X app’s strings. The Xpass name, the prices and the usage multipliers come from leakers and are unconfirmed.
Q2Which Xpass tier includes Grok Bot?
Plus and above, per the leaked card. Premium lists Grok, the Grok API and Cursor but not Grok Bot. Today Grok Bot is already included with SuperGrok at $30 and every paid Cursor plan from $20.
Q3Does Xpass include Cursor?
The card lists Cursor in every tier and adds Cursor cloud agents, automations, Bugbot and Origin from Plus. It does not say which Cursor plan each tier maps to.
Q4What happens to my SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ subscription?
Nobody has said. The leaker who posted the card wrote that nothing seen so far covers how existing subscriptions move over, including the free Cursor Ultra that came with Heavy, and advised waiting for migration details.
Q5Why does Bloomberg say Ultra costs $100?
Bloomberg’s September 30 report described a document with a $100 Ultra and a free tier. The October 2 card shows a $200 Ultra and an $8 floor. One of them is older or wrong; until X publishes prices, treat both as unconfirmed.
